Earlier this year David had the unfortunate experience of breaking his leg, due to an accident with Dad on the trampoline! I was quite frustrated at the incident - it was really the last thing I needed to happen, as there were a lot of things going on at the time... However, David's reaction was quite different. After a few days of recovery at home and getting used to walking on crutches, off he went to school, and got right on with life as if nothing too drastic had happened. As I thought about our differing reactions I felt the Lord saying: 'Maybe you should let go of all your stress and frustration, and take one day at a time, leaning on Me!'
A time ago in Australia, I chanced upon a dark path, and happened to glance up. Through dark branches I saw a multitude of pinpricks - heaven's light shining. I then heard what I thought was a possum and switched on my torch. The branches lit up brightly, but the stars disappeared. My reality came much closer. So often we are caught up in the reality of the branches, but the truth is found as we switch off the torch and gaze through the branches - to see the reality of stars.
Why "The Reality of Stars"?
These are just a few of many thoughts that either buzz over the surface of my mind or dive deep - either way these keep me curious and asking questions of myself and the world around me.
Some of these pieces are from a Creative Writing Circle - The International Writing Club - Mark, Steve and I have been encouraging one another over some time. These pieces will be prefaced with IWC.
